The University of Birmingham is one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious public universities. The university is a member of the elite Russell Group of universities. The University of Birmingham Business School, founded in 1902, is the first in the UK. The number of students today exceeds 34 thousand. Regarding the number of disciplines, the university is second only to the University of Cambridge. According to the QS World University Rankings, the University of Birmingham was ranked 14th in the UK and 79th worldwide.
